Debit Card Automated Message Scam
Be suspicious if you receive an automated call with a recording indicating your debit card has been "frozen" and personal information is needed before the card can be used again. The automated message directs customers to "press 1" to speak with a representative who will provide assistance.
Oftentimes, your caller id will show the originating number as "unavailable." As always, Community National Bank will never call customers and ask for account or personal information over the phone. Should you receive an automated call requesting personal information, please hang up and do not respond. Your best response is no response.
If you should receive one of these calls or any other variation of of this scam from someone claiming to represent Community National Bank, or if you believe that you have already become a victim, please call us at 423-587-2345 or 877-587-2343 or visit your local branch.
